The Earth and Beyond community has been very busy over the
last year. The creation of the Earth and Beyond
Emulator has begun. Yes, you heard it right! If
everything goes well, there should be an active emulator by
the end of 2007. EA gave up on Earth and Beyond, but
the community has been hard at work, creating an emulator
that will allow us to play again.
There are currently 2 versions of the
emulator. There is a JAVA version, and a C++ version.
If you visit
www.enb-emulator.com , I suggest that you all
download the C++ version. Its self extracting, and
make sure you read the NET-7 F.A.Q before installing.
(This site does not offer support for NET-7 install
problems).
www.enb-emulator.com also provides links to downloading
Earth and Beyond, and also the current version patch.
The current version of the NET-7 Emulator
is REV176. There isn't much that you can do with it
right now, you can create toons, you can walk around
stations, and you can exit stations. There is no
multiplayer active in the current version.
The next release of the NET-7 server is
coming soon™. I
have had the pleasure to test some of the items that will be
released in the next version, and I have created a
VIDEO FILE that shows you all the progress of the
emulator. You can

The file is big, so be patient.
EMULATOR JOBS: I am
sure that the development team is always looking for people
to help with the creation of the emulator. If you can
help, go to
www.enb-emulator.com, and let them know what you can do,
or if you have resources that you can contribute, like game
packets, or game information, let them know.

have worked hard on the emulator. Without them, Earth
and Beyond would be dead for ever.
